Terbium is a member of the lanthanide series, with the element symbol Tb. It is a silvery white metal and belongs to rare earth metals. There is only one stable isotope in nature, which reacts slowly with water. It has high reactivity. It should be stored in a container filled with inert gas or a vacuum container.

History:
In 1843, Sweden (Karl G. Mosander) discovered terbium through research on yttrium earth. The application of terbium mostly involves high-tech fields. It is a technology-intensive and knowledge-intensive cutting-edge project, and it is also a project with significant economic benefits, with attractive development prospects.
At the same time as the discovery of lanthanum, Mosander analyzed and studied the initially discovered yttrium, and published a report in 1842, clarifying that the initially discovered yttrium earth was not a single element oxide, but an oxide of three elements.
He still called one of them yttrium earth, and named one of them terbia. The element symbol was set as Tb
